The materials available in nature are called natural materials. Natural fibres, soil, trees are natural materials.
The materials which are made by man are called man made materials. Artificial fibres, plastics, glasses are man made materials.
Uses of rubber in our daily life:
- To make tubes and tyres.

- To make electric cables and machine belts.
Window, precious stones, camera, telescope, microscope, goggles, bulletproof screens, thermos etc.
Man made materials are made for specific uses and purposes. These materials are prepared from some natural materials. For example, in order to prepare 1 ton paper wood, 17 trees and 26,000 litres of water are used. If we use these materials sensibly, naturally available substances will get saved up to a certain level.
