The measures of prevention from infectious diseases are as follows
- Immunisation Children should be regularly immunised for various diseases. Adults should also take precautions and get themselves immunised as soon as spread of some epidemic is expected.
- Cleanliness To prevent various diseases from spreading, cleanliness at home and outside is very necessary. Water logging and house waste should not be collected around residential colonies. Sprinkling of medicines for controlling mosquitoes should be done.
- Public Health Education Under this programme, common people should be educated regarding the spread of diseases and its precautions. This can be done through newspaper, poster, radio, television, exhibitions etc.
- Isolation People should be made aware about keeping the patient separately so that healthy people may not get infected. They should be told how to sterilise the clothes, room etc of the patient where they are kept.

The way the teenagers try to behave due to excessive pressure coming from their peers can be defined as peer pressure teen stress. This type of stress is triggered by issues like the need for approval, acceptance and the need to have sense of belonging. It may result in health related problems.
Following are some issues which cause peer pressure teen stress
- Issues related to mixing with others.
- Traumatic events like divorce between parents, death in the family can also be a cause for teen
peer pressure. - Issues related to adopt new school environment.
- Moving to an environment or place they are not comfortable with.

But consumer has to be conscious to avoid becoming a victim of his designs. Purchasing an item only under the influence of advertisement shows ignorance and. immaturity of the consumer.
He has to weigh various pros and cons of the product and decide judiciously. Consumer should try to get information only regarding availability of new products from advertisements. Purchasing should be made only on the basis of requirement and common sense

Human body is largely composed of water. 65 per cent of human body weight is due to water which is present in blood, voluntary muscles, bones and teeth besides other tissues. Thin individuals have more water than fat individuals and also men have more water than women.
Functions of water in human body are
- Saliva present in mouth is liquid and helps in swallowing food.
- The food we eat is mixed with water, churned and reaches stomach as chyme. Water promotes digestion as wall of stomach secretes digestive juices.
- Water acts as a lubricant and helps in movements of joints. –
- Water helps in maintaining our body temperature.
Answer 22.
Life insurance is the best method of providing financial security to the family, in case a person meets an untimely death. In this scheme, a policy holder makes some savings from his income for a fixed period. After the completion of policy duration, the policy holder gets back his money along with bonus earned with it. The best feature of this scheme is that in case of untimely death of the policy holder, the nominee gets the full amount of insurance including bonus even if the policy holder had given only one premium of his policy.
A person holding an insurance policy can give his family a financial security in following ways
- Family Protection After the death of the policy holder, life insurance provides economic protection to his family.
- For Education and Marriage of Children After the death of the policy holder, the money invested
in this scheme helps in higher education and marriage of the children. . - For Property Tax The money which is received after the death of the policy holder h4lps in paying the property tax

Sangeeta follows the following points to protect food from getting contaminated
- Cooked food should be kept covered.
- Clean work surface with hot water and disinfectant.
- Kitchen should be kept free from household pests like flies, cockroaches, ants, rats, lizards etc. Insecticides should be sprayed periodically to check pests.
- Cooked food should always be kept in neat and clean utensils.
- Kitchen doors and windows should be flyproof in order to prevent food from contamination.
- Peels of vegetables and other waste of kitchen should be kept in covered dustbin.
- In summers, remaining food should be kept in refrigerator as it helps to make food eatable for long time.

At the time of selecting summer clothes, the following points should be kept in mind
- Clothes should be of cotton as cotton clothes are very comfortable in summers and have moisture absorbing quality.
- They should be of light or white colour because these colours are smoothing in summer season.
- Dress should have small print on it because big prints and dark colours look good in winter season.
- Clothes should not be very tight. They should be loose to suit the season. Tight fitting clothes add to the discomfort of the hot weather as sweat does not dry easily if one is wearing such clothes.
- Summer clothes should not have heavy lining, otherwise it will be difficult to wear them in summers. The sleeves should be short.

For more income, we need more investment and it also helps in saving income tax. The following
suggestions should be considered for income tax saving
- National Saving Scheme (NSS) of Post Office In this scheme, high rate of interest is given. There is liquidity as money can be withdrawn when desired.
- National Saving Certificate (NSC) of Post Office In this scheme, money gets almost doubled in 6 years. Loans can be taken if there is a need.
- Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) High rate of interest is given in LIC and it is a safe method of investment. Loans can be taken if there is a need. It provides security against death, disability and other misfortunes.
- Public Provident Fund (PPF) High rate of interest is given. After 5 years, one can take back certain percentage of money and interest. Loan can be taken in case of need.
- Mediclaim It is a type of health insurance under which medical expenses of individual and family are covered. It is must as it saves money and covers unexpected calamities and emergencies of severe ailment or accident. Health insurance helps to save tax.
