GSEB Solutions for Class 6 Mathematics – Revision: 1 (Sem -II)

GSEB Solutions for Class 6 Mathematics – Revision: 1 (Sem -II)

GSEB SolutionsMathsScience
Revision – 1

Solution 1(1):

3 C. 6
3 -(-3) = 3 + 3 = 6
(Subtracting a negative number is the same as adding its positive integer)

Solution 1(2):

B. 1
(-5) + 6 =1
Start from (-5) and move 6 unit places to the right, we get 1; or to add 6 to (-5), subtract 5 from 6 and place the sign of the greater integer, hence positive 1.

Solution 1(3):

C. 58°
Measure of the complementary angle of an angle = 90˚ – Measure of the given angle
The measure of given angle = 32˚
∴ Measure of complementary angle of 32˚= 90˚ – 32˚ = 58˚

Solution 1(4):

B. 148°
Measure of supplementary angle of an angle = 180˚ – Measure of the given angle
The measure of given angle = 32˚
∴ Measure of complementary angle of 32˚= 180˚ – 32˚ = 148˚

Solution 1(5):

A. 55°
The angles forming a linear pair are always supplementary.
∴The sum of measures of angles of a linear pair = 180˚
The measure of given angle = 125˚
∴Measure of angle forming its linear pair = 180˚ – 125˚ = 55˚

Solution 1(6):

C. 1
Factors of 13: 1, 13
Factors of 22: 1, 2, 11, 22
The common factor of 13 and 22 is 1
∴ H.C.F of 13 and 22 is 1

Solution 1(7):

D. 42
L.C.M of 14 and 42 = 2 × 3 × 7 = 42

Given,
m∠MON = 120°
From the figure, ∠MON and ∠MOJ form a linear pair.
m∠MON + m∠MOJ = 180°
120° + m∠MOJ = 180°
m∠MOJ = 180° – 120° = 60°
m∠MON = m∠JOG = 120° [vertically opposite angles]
m∠MOJ = m∠NOG = 60° [vertically opposite angles]
The measures of the other three angles are 120°, 60° and 60°.

Solution 6:

  1. Two pairs of vertically opposite angles are formed.
  2. The pairs of vertically opposite angles are: ∠ACX and ∠BCY; ∠ACY and ∠BCX.
  3. There are four pairs of angles of linear pair are formed.
  4. The pairs of angles of linear pair are:
  5. ∠ACY and ∠BCY, ∠BCY and ∠BCX, ∠BCX and ∠ACX, ∠ACX and ∠ACY.
