Solve each of the following equations:

x^{2} + 3 = 0

**Solution.**

We have, x^{2} + 3 = 0 ⇒ x^{2} = -3

⇒ \(x=\pm \sqrt { -3 } \) ⇒ x = \(\pm \sqrt { 3 } i\)
